My name is Tirzah, I am originally from Vancouver, B.C. Canada, but now reside in Saskatoon, SK. I am a mother of two teenagers and recently married the love of my life.

I am a Breast Cancer survivor and in my spare time am a Breast Cancer advocate for women all around the world.

I've always been captivated by the art of beauty, glam, swimsuit, and boudoir photography. Having modelled with a diverse range of photographers, I understand firsthand the thrill and empowerment that come with seeing your images for the first time. The confidence and sense of empowerment that accompany those moments are truly indescribable. My passion is to share this transformative experience with other women, helping you embrace and celebrate your strength, beauty, and individuality. I’m here to make you feel amazing about yourself and showcase the powerful, beautiful person you are.

I’ve had the privilege of mentoring under Amanda Zaki of AZ Photography, an accomplished wedding photographer whose work has been featured in numerous magazines and who has captured over 100 weddings. This experience has shaped my approach to creating emotive, authentic images that truly resonate.

What Sets Me Apart:
I understand that being in front of the camera can feel awkward and even a bit intimidating. I’ve been there myself, wondering how the final images will turn out and feeling those moments of uncertainty. That’s why I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment for you. Trusting a photographer is a vulnerable experience, and I’m committed to making it an enjoyable one. As we go through your session, I’ll share previews of your images to ensure we’re capturing exactly what you envision—giving you confidence in every shot.

My Goals as Your Photographer:
From the very first consultation, I’ll work closely with you to bring your vision to life. I’ll provide expert guidance on poses, lighting, and outfit choices, so you’ll never feel unsure of what to do. Whether you have a Pinterest board full of inspiration or just a vague idea, we’ll collaborate to craft images that reflect your personality and style. My goal is to highlight your best features while staying true to your natural beauty. By the end of our session, I want you to leave feeling confident, empowered, and overjoyed with the experience—plus, we’ll share plenty of laughs along the way!

Tirzah May Photography was honoured to serve as the official photographer for the 2023 & 2024 C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer. As a survivor and passionate advocate, Tirzah shared her inspiring journey on-air, connecting with the community and spreading hope. Throughout the day, she worked alongside the incredible C95 team, capturing the heartfelt moments and meaningful stories that made this fundraising event so impactful.

Breast Cancer Awareness Photoshoot

Early detection is vital in the fight against breast cancer, as it saves countless lives. With one in eight women facing a breast cancer diagnosis, Tirzah remains deeply committed to raising awareness and using her photography as a meaningful tool in this mission. She offers personalized photo sessions for breast cancer survivors—whether before or after a mastectomy, creating a safe and empowering space to honour their resilience and beauty.

Each year, Tirzah selects a group of courageous warriors from Saskatchewan to participate in an inspiring awareness photoshoot. If you’re interested in joining, we invite you to share your story and a current photo. Together, we can celebrate strength, embrace self-love, and support our Pink Sisters on their journey.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are your hours?: Once we discuss the details of your preferred session, we will find a time that works for both of us. I do work weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
How long will be session be?: All sessions vary in length of time. I usually tell clients to prepare for the following times, but to keep in mind it can sometimes take longer.

Boudoir: 1 hour
Maternity: 1-2 hours
Newborn: 3-4 hours
Beach: 2 hours not including driving time
Headshots: 30min- 1 hour
Branding: 1-2 hours
Glam: 2-3 hours
Couples: 2 hours
Grad: 1-2 hours

Where are you located?: I am based out of Saskatoon, SK Canada but have travel rates available for outside of Saskatoon and Canada.
Where will we have our photo session?: I thrive on capturing the essence of our city, embracing both its indoor and outdoor beauty. From enchanting hidden gems to urban landscapes, I'll guide you to the perfect backdrop for your shoot.

For boudoir sessions, indulge in the luxury of hotels or Airbnbs, setting the scene for intimate and alluring imagery. Maternity sessions in the comfort of your own home are a possibility, provided we ensure optimal lighting and space beforehand.

Escape to serene beaches just outside the city for captivating outdoor sessions, tucked away in private and picturesque spots. And for precious newborn moments, my home studio offers a cozy and professional setting designed to capture your baby's earliest days with warmth and care
How do we pay for our Photo Session?: Once we have discussed the detail of your photoshoot and you have been sent a quote via email, you will send a deposit of $150 to secure the date and time. You can send the deposit through my website and pay with Paypal, or you can send an E-transfer to: Tirzahmayphotography@gmail.com

After your Gallery is sent to you for review along with your invoice. You will select the photos you want that are included in your package. If you choose to select extra photos outside of your package, the total invoice will be re-sent after your selection is complete. Please pay the total amount owing once it is confirmed.

All deposits are non refundable.
Do you have a cancellation policy?: I do not have a cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend your session, we can try to find another date that will work to reschedule. Your deposit will not be refunded if you cancel. If you choose to rebook after cancelling, you will be required to put down a new deposit to secure the new date and time.
When will I get my photos back?: The turn around time for photos varies on each session, but I typically get your gallery ready to view within the week, and then you decide which photos you would like to select for your package.
Please note this does not apply to Wedding packages.
Will my photos be on social media?: I never post anything without getting your permission first. I have all my clients fill out a release form and it is very specific on what you are ok with. I will always respect your wishes, but I LOVE when clients let me share, since sharing my work is how I stay in business :)
